What to Expect

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Here is what you can expect during your first visit with us:

First we will have to dispense with the formalities and have you fill out the dreaded initial paperwork. Don’t worry, it’s not that bad, but it is necessary so we can get an idea of your state of health and what you’ve been through.

Second, you’ll be shown to the examination room where you’ll have a brief consultation with me. I’ll have some questions for you that will help me know better where to begin.

Next, we will perform a very thorough chiropractic check-up that will show us how good or bad things really are. It’s not a medical exam so we won’t be doing any embarrassing procedures. This will include a computerized spinal analysis that will reveal how well your nervous system is running your body.

At this time, x-rays will probably be ordered depending on the problem. These are an invaluable tool because they allow us to see exactly how much your spine has degenerated over the years. They will also give us a more accurate picture as to how long the healing process might take.

Once we have all the necessary info you’ll receive your first adjustment.

If you mention our website we will do the initial check-up at no charge. We do this as a service to the community so you can see if there is anything we can do before we ask for any payment. We will also explain our fees beforehand so there are no surprises. (This complimentary service does not include the cost of x-rays as they are taken off-site.)

The rest is up to you. We will not pressure you. After all, it’s your health, your life, your decision.

Dr. Mark Asks some important questions of interest to Arlington residents - Chiropractor Arlington Dr. Mark Asks...

Do chiropractors prescribe medications for the pain?
No. Chiropractic is a drug-free approach to better health. Instead, we rely on natural methods. We can show you how to use ice to control pain. When properly applied, ice can have an analgesic effect without the unwanted and sometimes dangerous effects of pain medications.
How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Arlington folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
